Our Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) program offers students a unique opportunity to develop essential life skills, build resilience, and gain confidence through a variety of challenging and rewarding activities. Participants engage in volunteering, physical recreation, skill-building, and adventurous expeditions, fostering teamwork, leadership, and a sense of community. Recognized internationally, the DofE Award enhances university and job applications, showcasing qualities like dedication, initiative, and adaptability. By stepping out of their comfort zones, our students not only create lasting memories but also cultivate independence and practical skills that prepare them for future success.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
Students must commit to completing each section in accordance with the stipulated timescale for that level - as explained in the table and link below. These timescales are based on a minimum commitment of one hour per week - eg at Bronze the minimum participation for volunteering is one hour per week for 3 months.
